Overview

Hell's Gate National Park offers a unique safari experience where visitors can explore on foot, by bicycle, or rock climb among the wildlife. Named for the intense geothermal activity within its boundaries, the park features dramatic landscapes of towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrubland, and patches of grassland dotted with grazing zebra, gazelle, and buffalo. The park served as inspiration for Disney's 'The Lion King' with its dramatic landscapes and abundant wildlife.
