Dry Season (June-October)

Peak Season

Ideal for wildlife viewing and the Great Migration. Clear skies and minimal rainfall make for excellent game drives and photography.

Short Rains (November-December)

Value Season

Fewer crowds, lush landscapes, and excellent bird watching. Many lodges offer attractive rates during this period.

Long Rains (March-May)

Low Season

Lowest rates and dramatic landscapes. Some roads may be challenging, but wildlife viewing remains excellent.

Visa & Entry Requirements

eVisa System

Required

Most visitors require a visa, easily obtained online through Kenya's eVisa system. Apply at least 7 days before travel.

Passport Validity

Important

Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from entry date with at least two blank pages for stamps.

Yellow Fever

Health

Yellow fever vaccination certificate required if arriving from or transiting through infected areas.
